Leadership Transition and Executive Search Support
Nonprofit executive leaders are turning over at higher rates because of retirement, new opportunities, and a high-stress environment often magnified by scarce financial resources.
Long believers in the potential of people and the value of strong leaders, the DeVos Family Foundation is supporting organizations located and operating in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake Counties, Florida, with an opportunity to seek financial support for leadership transitions and executive search.
Organizations 6-24 months away from the transition of their top leader are eligible to apply for up to $30,000 of consultant costs. Grants cover costs to help the organization prepare for and implement a smooth transition or to hire an external resource to lead and conduct the executive search process. The fund aims to help organizations facilitate thoughtful and advanced planning for transitions. The grants are not for organizations in crisis transition or for those who are able to conduct the executive search themselves and fund resources are limited.
Leaders have the power to be examples for the rest of us to follow.
