Orlando Magic Youth Foundation
In 1992, not long after becoming caretakers of the Orlando Magic franchise, the DeVos family partnered with the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF), a nonprofit whose mission aligned closely with the family’s philanthropic interests and passions. Realizing children are the future, OMYF reaches underserved youth in the Central Florida community by partnering with programs that empower children and families to reach their full potential.
The Orlando Magic’s mission is to be champions on and off the court. Off the court, OMYF invests in programs and initiatives focused on education, the arts, health and wellness, and homelessness prevention for children and families. Over the last 31 years, OMYF has distributed more than $26 million to 500 local nonprofits, impacting an estimated 100,000 youth per year. OMYF also gives to the local community through sponsorship of events, donated tickets, autographed merchandise, and grants.
OMYF’s significant contributions to local organizations amplify the work of so many worthy nonprofits in the region. This is a mission near and dear to the DeVos family and is essential for the flourishing community that is Central Florida.
